04:48 pm - Cycles
The cycle of Tev
1) Move house (Normally on the 1st July.)
2) Decide that whilst I'm moving, I should sort out my life.
3) Make plans
4) Decide to start a blog
Break the cycle, Tev! Stop cluttering up the interwebs!
We're here again. I've just moved house and am determined to create some sort of order and stability in my life. For some reason this always leads to starting a blog, which inevitably doesn't last, in line with the resolutions.
I have similar problems I had a year ago, two years ago, three years ago.
3) social life
Stay tuned for further updates. Or don't.

04:58 pm - Weekend in Manchester
Small request: can people please post ideas of things to do in Manchester, that I can do with my brother and his Czech girlfriend while they are here? Preferably things that are cheap or free! So far I'm going to take them to Urbis and Afflecks, maybe Manchester Museum too. And probably 42nd Street or Satan's Hollow tonight. I was considering taking them to Platt Fields on sunday to go boating but I don't know if they do it on sundays, anyone know?

06:29 pm - Pennies
My plan today was to go back to the parental unit for two days, bisected by a trip to Sheffield, succeeded by a cheap trip to London courtesy of the Megabus. Didn't happen. My rent is supposed to go out on the first of the month, but instead it went out early, leaving me penniless. Revised plan: will save money by going over to Sheffield with Amanda tonight, then go to Langold till Thursday where I will raid the cupboards and hopefully spend no money. Unfortunately that means not seeing Christopher for another week :(
Jogging has yet to happen. It's far too hot to consider doing anything outdoors that isn't barbecue related.

04:49 am - Didsbury Living
So I've been living in Didsbury around a month now. So far, I'm really enjoying it. Bar job is going well, apart from a slightly embarrassing incident t'other day when my boss had to warm me that I smelt. I'm eager to start at BNY, though I still don't know what I'll be doing or whether I'll enjoy it. Cash'll be nice though.
Have been enjoying spending time with my friends recently. Starting to play Dungeons and Dragons was a great idea (on my part) as now I get to socialise with Ben and Godber more often that I did when I lived with them! Haven't seen Mark and Laura as much as I'd have like, though I guess it's early days yet. Rose seems to have settled into Manchester well, and my house in general seem to be getting on quite well. Have been spending time with Louisa too, which has been nice.
Speaking of Dungeons and Dragons, was an odd game on Wednesday. I'd planned to make Lucan a doppleganger after it became apparent that Jimi wouldn't be around to play him much until September, but wasn't sure how it'd work out. After a bit of improvisational wizardry, I think did quite well! Ben was shitting himself during the graveyard battle.
Money is still a bit of an issue, although regular income definitely helps. What doesn't help is that I may have lost my card in Satan's on Tuesday whilst terribly drunk. I'm slightly worried about drinking as I have problems with memory after drinking too much. Not good. Have cut back though. Will be a good boy on Monday, won't drink before going out and will alternate with water/softdrinks. Will resist the call of the 70p vodka.
Sarah moves to Gibraltar shortly, so I'm gonna visit Langold on Monday. I'm also gonna fit in a trip to Corporation, then get the Megabus down to London to visit Christopher maybe on Wednesday. If I get chance that is, as I'm at work Friday daytime. I guess in this instance Sarah > Christopher, as although I haven't seen Christopher in ~3 weeks, after this week I won't see Sarah and Jasmine for around two months. But we'll see.
Have decided to take up Tai Chi, and possibly meditation. I'm gonna try and go jogging most days too, although this hasn't worked out so far. Really need to lose some weight. Tai Chi seems quite interesting to me, and I've seen a class in Old Trafford that I might give a go. Buddhism has also intrigued me, and the Buddhist Centre offers classes on Buddhism and Meditation. Will definitely give Tai Chi a go, will see about the meditation as it doesn't start until September.
In conclusion: life is good, although still things to work on.

Christopher put vinegar in the kettle to clean it, but all it did was make everything smell of vinegar.
